SHELF — Cedar-Bark Resin Shelf

六席の立礼茶寮のために制作されたシェルフ。杉皮をレジンに封じ込め、大きな杉の樹から茶道具や料理が現れるようなイメージを形にした。自然素材の表情を家具の表面に残し、茶をもてなす機能と彫刻的な存在感を両立させるプロダクト。

A shelf created for the six-seat tea room at KARYO, with cedar bark encased in resin. Its design suggests tea utensils and dishes emerging from the body of a great cedar tree. The piece combines the practical role of a shelf with a sculptural presence, preserving the texture of natural material within a setting for tea and hospitality.
